Promech goes for 4 year M&E contract with Land & Water (Dec 2011)

Promech is now tendering for a contract of up to four years through major framework contractors Land & Water. It is hoped that if secured this will enable the continued expansion plans and increase the workforce in 2012

Promech new workshop build 2011. (Updated Dec 2011)

We have been working from the new part of the building since September 2011. The new build benefits from new energy efficient lighting & has better heating controls than the older building. It is hoped that we can resume the expansion plans in the spring.

A year or more in the planning but now the build begins.

Once finished the new workshop facility will treble the capacity of Promech's existing ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The new facility has been designed for future expansion in mind and will when complete include designated areas such as the following.

New Research and Development area where we can design and implement system and test in a clean environment and show potential customers prior to full production.
Training area for students and Apprentices so project work can be set out and other design work can be completed
A new purpose built electrical panel building room with larger stores
Totally segregated fabrication areas for ferrous and non ferrous metals
New offices and welfare facilities to include a new boardroom and presentation area

It is also envisaged that as part of Promech Engineering Ltd's ongoing commitment to greener energy production and sustainability it is planning to instal photovoltaic panels on the south facing roof to make use of the available free energy that this can capture. It is without doubt that unless systems such as photovoltaic panels are adopted commercially they will continue to be expensive for private users who would benefit most from their installation. So watch this space for future developments......

Promech wins third award for safety

Promech goes from strength to strength in winning contractor of the year 'Safety at Heart Award'. Awarded at a presentation day for demonstrating a high degree of safety awareness in an extremely hazardous environment. The award was presented by Dave Pickering who is the Power station Plant Manager for Spalding Energy company, who's West Marsh Road facility is owned by Intergen UK Ltd.
